Anya Taylor-Joy was born on the 16th of April, 1996 on the 16th of April in Miami Florida. Her mother is English, one-half Spanish. Her parents include Dennis Alan Taylor an ex-banker as well as Jennifer Marina Joy psychologist. Her father, an Argentinean of Scottish as well as English roots is also her mother. The mother of her is Spanish-English. Taylor-Joy was born into a family with six kids. Four are her siblings from her previous marriage to Taylor's dad. Family resided at Buenos Aires up until Taylor-Joy aged 6 and later moving to Victoria district in London. Taylor Joy said the move from Buenos Aires to Victoria was a struggle and she didn't take the time to learn English, hoping to go again to Argentina. Hill House, a school in the same district as Northlands had to enroll her. She later enrolled at Queen's Gate School where she studied ballet and acted in school productions. After she turned 16, she quit school to take on a full-time job in acting. Taylor-Joy's dream to be an actor of professional caliber started at a young age.
